    Used a bench rest to sight in my Ruger American Compact 9mm at 30 feet and had to mover the rear sight A LOT to the right to hit the target center. I would have expected the factory position to be closer to zero, but it was hitting about 3 inches to the left out of the box with the rear sights...

    Recently got a new SR1911 (6722 model) with Novak sights and I know the windage can be adjusted, but what is the standard/factory zero it should be at for distance? Been though Ruger's site and the owner's manual but can't find mention of it.
