I have a stainless stock 10/22. I shot 25 times and all the hits were at least 6 inches high and scattered 10 inches from the center line (equally left and right). It was not punching holes like I am use to seeing. It looked as if the bullets might be tumbling thru the target sideways due to the elongated tears in the paper. What could possibly be going on???

whoa...that is bad...

Normally calling the factory is my last option...but in your case... I would call them...

What range and what ammo and are you shooting from a rest...not that it matters but I just curious to know the conditions...

Did you inspect the muzzle and have you run a cleaning patch thru it yet...

I was shooting Remington Thunderbolts. I did inspect the muzzle and did not see anything out of the ordinary. I have not run a patch thru it yet. I was at less than 30 feet while seated on the ground using my knee for support.

It is well known that sometimes there is plastic ties in the bore from the factory...they tell you to clean the bore prior to shooting it...

I'd call them this is way way off the chart bad...
