I'm looking to replace the stock barrel on my 10/22 takedown and have been looking at the Volquartsen carbon fiber ultra lite barrel. Are they as accurate as advertised and worth the price, or can you suggest a better option? Thank you in advance.

I bought a KSA bull barrel with threaded muzzle, and it has Microgrooves much like Marlin barrels. It is not an ultralight barrel, it's actually heavy, but it is a nice barrel, and not bad price either. I think it was around $150 shipped from Ebay.

I am very happy with it- at 25 yards my first tests were about the same accuracy as my Ruger factory bull barrel target model (but I was shooting offhand NOT bench rest shooting)

BTW, usually anything Volquartsen makes is worth the money, I am just frugal, and like less expensive options that have good performance as well.
