What I did is this: Buy a box of FGMM 168gr, and Lapua 167gr. Both should shoot extremely well from your gun. This gives you a benchmark of what is possible, and the components to work up an even better load.

If your rifle likes the FGMM better, use 168gr SMKs and IMR4064 from 42.8gr with a suiatble range on either side. You'd be working up a load with the bullets and (what is reputed to be) the powder used in FGMM.

If your rifle likes the Lapua better, as mine did by a very small margin, use 167gr Scenars and either IMR4064 or N140.

Both powders worked well for me, FWIW best at 43.5gr.

If you are set on the Amax, I'd still try IMR4064 first.

GLHF and stay safe!
