I've got the 1894 and GP-100 4" combo and love them. It's what I take when we for cabin stays. I have some pretty warm Buffabore 180 grainers that should do well in unlikely event of a hostile black bear.

I've heard the Leverevolution ammo works great, but tends to shoot a bit low, at least on the rifle calibers so far.
