Just an old suggestion:

I'm sure this has been mentioned at one time or another, perhaps long ago,
but one trick to carry spare .45 ACP ammo (or 9 mm) for a Blackhawk is in auto magazines.

After unloading, just thumb the fresh cartridges in from a magazine.

This was suggested because carrying spare .45/9 mm ammo is somewhat
problematic when afield unless you want to just have the cartridges in a box
or pouch in a large pocket. Retention with belt loops is somewhat iffy and
normal speed loaders for revolvers seem more cumbersome to use.

Any way, the auto magazines are flat/compact and make for easier carry in
a pocket or in auto pouches.

I've been using this method also for some time, I also wrap them in cloth backed camo tape to keep the noise down and cuts down on slipperyness. They can always be cleaned off if need be.

Nutty Ned,

I'm aware of and own several Bianchi speed strips for .38 which will do for
9 mm..

Do you have strips for .45 ACP and where'd you get them?
I checked Midway and no luck.

Thanx.
