Hi,

Anybody know why there's a 4oz difference between the blued and stainless versions of the Blackhawk 357 (4.62'')? Stainless is heavier by 4oz.

Thanks!

The blued Blackhawk® has an adonized aluminum grip frame. The stainless gun has a steel grip frame.

Aluminum grip frame on the blued model.
Mine has both an aluminum grip frame and ejector rod housing , the stainless Blackhawks parts are both stainless steel and add to the weight difference .
Some like the extra weight but I prefer the lighter weight .

Unless it is a special edition all blackhawks of the new model variation have aluminum grip frames. The retro syled 357 and 44 mag blackhawks do have steel grip frames
