Found in a pawn shop this morning. Early 90s with cheap ruger marked simmons scope. Wont get to shoot this for a while though. It has a scratch in the stock. Anyone ever try to fix a mark on a boat pattle stock.
I have a blued version of that same rifle. I have yet to find an effective way to clean and/or restore the stock to "new" condition. It IS one of my favorite rifles-I never shoot the steel cased ammo, just brass.
Keep us posted.
Addendum: I also HAD an identical rifle in .257 Roberts. NIB. It was too nice to shoot, so I sold it to a collector that specialized in the skeleton stocked rifles!
