I normally use Varget for .223 but grabbed some XBR at local shop to try. I've heard that XBR seems to be most accurate at or near max charge weights but not sure how well it does with varying bullet weights. I have 55gr and 68gr Hornady on hand right now to try in my 1-8" Ruger American Ranch carbine. I may try some lighter varmint-type bullets down the road but for now does anybody have experience with this powder and bullets in these weights ?

I've loaded it with 55 to 62gr. soft points for an SR556 VT with a 20" 1in8 and it did real well. It's a hot powder so load carefully.

Work up carefully, 8208 seemed to work just fine in my AR, then seemed to have a sharp "pressure jump" at the top end. Great accuracy though.

Thanks Guys ! I have some good data from 2010 Hodgdon Reloading manual plus the usual online sources. How close to max charge weights were you when it got "peaky" ?
