I'm working on: focus on the front sight (blur the target), hold breath at a comfortable interval, squeeze trigger with surprise bang. I think the biggest revelation is wearing my reading glasses to focus on the front sight.

I use my computer screen glasses.
They are dialed in for sharp focus just beyond my extended fingers... right where a rifle sight or shotgun bead is positioned.
The targets are somewhat blurry, but this is a non-problem.

Looking good! I wear dollar store 1.25 reading glasses when shooting for fun. No glasses when practicing self defense.
That's a good idea. I was thinking about that in real life, how would I get my reading glasses on before a quick draw in self defense; probably couldn't manage it.

I think I'll take your cue and "shoot for fun" at 25 yards with reading glasses and "practice self defense" at 10 yards with the naked eye. That'll be more realistic.
