we have one like the knife in the first picture .... it was passed down from my father who was a navy pilot and carried it in WWII .... his was made by the PAL safety razor company and has the hardest metal I've ever seen in a knife

Mine is stamped PAL RH-36. It was my grandfather's hunting knife...I don't know how obtained it.

When Remington left the knife business, many of their patterns were more or less copied by PAL. I think RH-36 meant Remington Hunter style 36.
