The Right Tool Company LLC has created a marvelous piece of takedown tool. It can be seen on their Facebook page along with videos showing the tool being used. I have just ordered mine from amazon.com. Brownells also has it.
Their facebook page is at www.facebook.com/TheRightToolCompany
On Youtube they are at
search for ::: ruger mark series all in one tool

I don't remove the receiver from the frame, so all I've ever needed was a paperclip. YMMV

Mine is in the mail

Will report after I get it and use it.
Thank you
and Happy New Year!
'twas my Christmas present to myself.

I received the All-in-one tool before this past weekend.
I went home and before even having dinner, I had to try it out.
I have had my Ruger Hunter Mark III 22/45 for a bit less than three years and I probably never disassembled and re-assembled it more than five or six times. The very first time I did it, I had three Youtube videos on my desktop, a laptop and a tablet, plus three of four printed pages from the Manual and from posts here on this forum (where Bullseye has been a tremendous tutor and sensei.)
In the past all those dis----- then assemblies, were always around the 2 hours mark (and at least 1.5 lbs .................. lost in sweat. (and the first few ones resulted in my putting the parts aside in a box, in order to take them to the ONLY gunsmith in Ottawa). I never did, though. I'd always go back and try and try and cry and try again.

I also never managed to do it without a plastic punch and a rubber mallet.

I did a quick review of the tool-less process (which I hadn't done in over a year), a quick review of the video produced by The Right Tool Company LLC and did the whole shebang in less than five minutes. I did it twice, to be sure that the first time was not a coincidence.

No punches, no hammers/mallets needed. I didn't have to wash my mouth out with soap afterwards.

BTW, I'm not shilling for that company or tool and I'm not on any kind of "reward" but my advice is that even those Ruger Mark Series owners who say that they can do the disassembly and reassembly with their eyes closed in under a minute, is to get the tool. You'll break your own record. Specially those who are maintenance officers in their ranges where they have a number of Ruger Mark Series I, II, III or 22/45. This will turn a chore into a pleasant task.

I have done this only on my 22/45, however I feel that it will work on all the Mark Series, as per the Manufacturers/Inventors claim.

Looks cool but it appears to be one of those things that would end up in a box and eventually tossed or sold via garage sale for 25¢. YMMV

You are probably one of those who knows how to do it with a gun that cooperates. Mine was so uncooperative that --at times-- I thought I'd sell it, but I was advised by the President of Ruger not to bother; that he had one that had a count of 50,000 rounds without a single cleaning.

My gun is so tight that I had to use a plastic punch and mallet to remove the pin. Reassembly was a real PITA. Now, I have caught myself smiling at the thought, that with an ally, I had conquered the reassembly beeeeeyatch.

Jokingly: If I were to throw this for a garage sale, I would make sure to have another one standing by.

My thoughts.
Never had the need.

Kudos for you.
I have the need.
Just as I need glasses to read, others to drive and a third pair for
the computer. I use the latter to shoot, focusing on front sights.
Glasses are not a gimmick for me; neither is this tool. For me.

I never had the need for a wheelchair until that bloody sciatica
hit me a few years ago. I lived in a wheelchair for about a month,
and then had to use forearm braced-crutches for a few months.

Everybody's mileage may vary, my friend.

Nothing personal mate.
If you post on open forum, you have to expect that other folk may have differing opinions than you..... ;)

Not a problem at all, friend. That's what discussions and conversations are about. If we all agreed 100% on everything, there would be no point in
communicating at all.

I bet you will not need it either after as many years of using a Ruger Standard or Mark as I have. ;)
Acquired my first in 1968 or '69 and still shoot it often.
Cool but who really needs one? Not being facetious, but I've never had any problem assembling or un-assembling the Rugers MK's.

Well, you know what they (whoever they are) say:
"Better to have and not need than to need and not have."

This applies to me. (I've only started in 2010).

I do (need one.)
