A New Year for Rugerforum.net

What would you like to see happen to Rugerforum.net this next year?

Anyone can look at our growth for the last 5 months and see what has happened. You can also read our posts and see what kind of growth that has been.

I would like to see our Membership reach 1000 by the end of 2007 and remain the same quality Board that it is now. This in not impossible. If we all work as we have the last 5 months, I think it can happen. What do you think?

Also if you have any ideas how we can improve our Board for 2007 you can list them. :D

An option to set the forum clock for my local time.

...and lower the intelligence level. Real women work much better for me but there is no accounting for taste. [8D]

Keith is working on the software so that you'll see your local time.
I can't really think of any changes that need to be made. We all just need to keep doing what we have been. That is, being friendly and respectful of our other members. That's why I like it here so much. Seems like you guys are old friends!
I think Rman said it best. Plus Friends are forever and guns come and go.
Hey, Bill, when my alter ego is a dog-what do you expect of me....as far as taste I do have standards-I won't eat okra.....Now, seriously, I love the difference between here and other forums-all are welcome in a spirit of cameraderie and fun, and noone has a chip on their shoulder, or a down-your-throat agenda-we can come here and relax and have fun---gain lots of knowledge, meet some fine friends, and leave our troubles out there for awhile---look forward to new guns, share experiences...Calvin's coffee shop has been wonderful to learn more about each other in-I just wish that all who sign up would at least say Hi! and tell us a little about themselves, family, guns, etc...start the ball rolling. We've surprised some with how friendly we are...noone's going to be ridiculed unless I--- I mean they--- ask for it:D-this place is safe to be ourselves and relax-a rare thing this day and time...and that's my serious opinion-Merry Christmas to all and thank God for Rugerforum.net and our fearless leaders!

I appreciate the sincerety, honesty , and respect that is shared here on Ruger Forum.net. I
think that is what holds us all together.
Merry Christmas to all of you and your families.
Yes Rman, seems like a tight knit of old friends. We have good administrators, moderators and friendly people who are quick with help and advice along with a knowledgeable gunsmith. Don't need much more for improvement, well, maybe some flea powder for you know who.
We are now 700+. I think we will make it. What do you think? Lets all tell our friends and see if we can reach that 1000 by the end of the year. :D:D:D
I would like the forum to stay just as friendly and easy going is it is now.
I have a thought, and I might be on my own with this. But sometimes I feel like there could be a forum that's somewhere between the Tavern and the minefield. In particular - and this is an area where a LOT of people here have made thought provoking contributions - it might be nice to have a 2nd Amendment forum.

It's not tavern, because it's gun specific. And it's not minefield, because it's not just political.

But I also think with the hearts and minds present here, discussing the increasingly important topic of 2A, it might be a way to get others to join. Send a link of a provacative discussion here to other like-minded groups and I bet we could get a bunch of people to join just for that forum. Then it's not long before they get to know people, start browsing the gallery, sharing their own collections, etc., and before you know it they're in the family!

Just an idea...
EddieF,
I've got to second that emotion, that sounds like a great idea. A 2nd Amendment forum.
Maybe you may have to repost in the suggestion threads for a quicker response, but it seems to be a really great idea.
