Hi all, its been awhile since ive been on the forum. I have the chance to trade an unfired S.W. 686 2 1/2 barrel with alot of extras, for an unfired Ruger super black hawk, no extras. heres my trade ad, and his to follow after that. My question is, would you, or would you not trade ? If you would, should I ask money to boot ? Thank you.

Should I trade ? Wish I could add pics, but I dont see how. Thanks again !

There seems to be about $150.00 difference in the new prices on the two, and with your extras I'd sure be looking for some boot.

Thanks for the reply scatter, Truth is, I like the looks of the ruger, but im not hurting to sell mine, just thought I might like to get a 44 again, I owned a 29 back in 82. But if I may ad to my questions. If I were to get a Super black hawk, or a red hawk or super red hawk, are there any bad manufacturing things I should be on the look out for ? I would love to get a super red hawk with a 5 or 6 inch barrel, but there hard to fined here. Thanks again.

If your 686 is a pre-lock model I recommend hanging on to it. If it has the lock the swap isn't a bad deal. I shoot my Super Blackhawks more than all the rest of my guns together and have never been disappointed in them.

Best Regards,

Any chance you can keep the 686 and purchase the Blackhawk outright?
That would be me.
Welcome back, good to see you on board.
