I recently picked up a 10/22 from a guy that is unfired.

He said he bought it at Cabela's about 2 years ago and it was some sort of "special edition". The stock looks just like the ATI strikeforce (ATI is stamped on it).

The top has 6 screws threaded for an allen wrench and the instructions online say that it's 6-32, but the 6/32 is too big. I've tried every size allen wrench I own and can't find the right fit.

Any ideas?

6-32 is the size of the threads on the screw (#6 diameter, 32 threads per inch)

The normal allen wrench for that size screw is 7/64"

Thanks.

I figured that out by trial and error. I went to a friends house and he had more allen wrenches to try out.

This is my first 10/22 and I really enjoyed shooting it today.
