yep that's right, lets see those .44 loads from .44 Spl to .44 Mag that ya all likes.

My favorite load in my 5 Shooter 2" ported Taurus Tracker is a 240-gr Speer JSP over 8.0 gr of WW-231 with a large pistol primer. Dang she sure still has plenty of smack-down.

ahh 44 one of my fav. guns to load for. i have been slowly improving my loads gone though bluedot, al8, unique, 2400 and power pistol powders, im only going to give 2 the best and the possible best loads i have found for my gun.

all loads are mixed brass but mostly starline, cci large pistol primers.

240 grain jsp magtec bullet
13.2 grains of power pistol
avg of just under 1400 fps

240 grain lee swc w/ gc from a lee mold, after i add the gc and lube it 250 grains with my alloy.

starting load of 2400 from the lee reloading manual it averages 1300 fps, this is sofar the best load i have for the gun, its very clean for me no leading good accuracy. the bore looks polished after i shoot them.

my new test load is same 250 grain gc swc 11 grains of power pistol, now for some reason i get some leading near the end of the barrel with this one, i need to clean it good first though i shot a bunch of jacketed though it the other day to dispose of it lol. could be copper fouling grabbing up some of the lead. this one averages 1230 fps but im getting close to sticky cases.

Well JB all I am shooting is paper with mine. It will never see the woods or have to kill any varmints unless it might be of the two legged type. Here's what I am loading: 200gr.lrn with 6grs.of win 231/oal 1.460". Put a good roll crimp on it and let her rip. Groups real good at 10yds, dead on the sights. Good luck.

I'm relatively new to the .44 mag. Although I've shot my son's 8 3/8" 629 a bit and a few guns belonging to friends I never owned one until last summer. The indoor range I shoot at doesn't allow full bore .44 mags. It upsets the Glock shooters concentration when shooting those fine patterns many shoot with their guns with all that ammo in hi cap mags.:D
My two loads for there in my SBH are a 240 LSWC over 7.6 gr of Universal Clays, or for just a tad more ooph, 8.5 grs under the same bullet. Don't know the velocity but they're both easy on the gun and shooter and accurate.

A load I used a lot in my SBH was WW brass, CCI 300 primers, 26.5 gr W296 and Horn 200 JHP. Mild load, very accurate in my gun and death on coyotes.
