I'm relatively new to the .44 mag. Although I've shot my son's 8 3/8" 629 a bit and a few guns belonging to friends I never owned one until last summer. The indoor range I shoot at doesn't allow full bore .44 mags. It upsets the Glock shooters concentration when shooting those fine patterns many shoot with their guns with all that ammo in hi cap mags.
My two loads for there in my SBH are a 240 LSWC over 7.6 gr of Universal Clays, or for just a tad more ooph, 8.5 grs under the same bullet. Don't know the velocity but they're both easy on the gun and shooter and accurate.
