My NMBH .357 convertible in 4/58 barrel seems top-heavy. I'm considering swapping the aluminum grip frame for a blued steel one. Does anyone have experience with both models (steel vs aluminum grip frames)? Is swapping grip frames worth it for the improved balance? I don't really care about weight, this is a range gun.

I have a SBH, dragoon grip, 5.5" ( cut from a 7.5" ) and the weight and balance is more to my liking than my 4.6" Single Six. If I could get a dragoon grip frame I would put it on the SS, depending on $$$. Find a Stainless gun and handle it, see what you think. The weight and balance will be relative, I think. Now for me I tend to go off and bite the bullet and "git er done", and don't look back. As far as worth it , I can"t say.
