My wife just bought me a 16 DVD set of old declassified WWII training films. Thirty eight films with more than eighteen hours of viewing. Neat.

Part of it is. Right now I'm learning what to do if I'm shot down. Its 90 minutes and then there is a 35 minute film on how to live in the desert and a 60 minute film on arctic survial.

my dad had to do that when he went through air wing training. left him out in the desert for a couple days. who produces your videos? i'd be curious if i can get them on netflix or go buy the dvd's..

I now know the proper way to belly land a B-24 and a B-47. This is good stuff. A couple of them Ronald Reagan narrates. Next up is How to Fly the B-26, B-29 Flight Procedures, and B-29 Flight Engineer Duties.

Seems to me that was originally a TV series like Victory as Sea was.

I would guess they bulked it out with the training videos or stole the name.

I also have Victory at Sea but these are training films while Victory at Sea was propaganda.

I just finished the DVD on how to avoid FLAK. These guys got great training. Next up is Air Reconnaissance and Observation.
