Growing up in South Carolina in the '70s, I well remember a locally-produced [from Charleston, I think] children's television show that I would never miss. It involved a lady who dressed up as a Native American, cartoons, a puppet or two, and generally great kid stuff the likes of which we'll never see again. The show was named after it's lead character, "Happy Raine". She even had a record album of her telling stories, which I had at one point. Yes, this was back in the days when our TV only had 3 channels! Some other shows I recall from that period: The forerunner of Power Rangers, imported from Japan: "Ultra Man". In the same genre, "Spectre Man" and "Space Giants". Any of my fellow middle-aged S.C. folks recollect any of this?
