Anyone carrying a little heavier today?

Without straying too far into politics.... looks like a bank came down... and then another... and maybe more to come?

I'm a panicky, tin-foil hat wearer. I was at the grocery store getting more rice, beans, dehydrated milk, flour and sugar yesterday. Grabbed another box of mountain house dehydrated meals, too. Pulled a sizable amount of fiat currency out of my bank (not just coins, had enough in there to get a real deal paper bill!) ... ya know, just in case.

Going to work today with the P365 and a couple spare mags. I guess bank failures aren't the sort of thing that rile up the 'mostly peaceful protest' crowd... but if those EBT cards get declined there will be pandemonium!

DOW is actually up at this point... so I guess I'm a fool.

Anyways... did anyone else today feel like having a little more firepower on hand?

Going to a micro-9mm isn't exactly "serious firepower" but it's a heckuva step up from the single stack 32 I usually carry.

Don't worry, democrats will just keep printing and printing and printing and printing and printing money............................and they will not worry about inflation............They said they still have lots of paper upon which to print.................

I heard that the Fed (you know, the one that has the USA 30 trillion in debt) was going to give loans to potentially insolvent banks to shore up their balance sheets. :ROFLMAO:

I never knew you could loan money while also nearly bankrupt. Those money printing machines are something else, I tell you!

Yellen said no bailout. Guess we spent it all bailing out Ukraine pensions.

Except I heard this morning FDIC will cover all of the depositors, and not only just those under $250K.

I also heard they're going to do it without using taxpayer funds... :ROFLMAO::rolleyes::ROFLMAO:

Always been a wheel gun guy, but I've been having thoughts about upgrading to a. 40 semiautomatic with more capacity.

Paper money looks green, but it's not "green". Printing it uses up trees and causes climate change ......just one bank going under raises the temperature .0000000002 degrees..... o_O ..

I've got some cash hidden throughout the house. You can get "snack size" zip locks that fit a stack of twenties perfectly ..... :)

Sounds like an easter egg hunt for anyone trying to rummage through your home uninvited. :ROFLMAO:

An old amigo used to tell me that you ALWAYS need to keep enough gold handy to bribe a border guard.
I never asked who his other "friends" were.

No, not that.

But I think I may dig through the closet and find my James Wesley, Rawles books.

The banks failing is not good. We keep cash on hand. I’m worried less about needing a gun than a backhoe to start burying money.

I went from single stack 7 rounds to double stack 15 rounds, bit cases were an extra mag in the pocket.

I’ve “upped my game” recently from 9mm to 10mm Auto. Not because of bank failures, per se, but the general increase in craziness.

This also increases my load-out from 36 to 48 rounds (going from compact 9mm to full-size 10mm).
