I noticed the bluebook lists a premium for Bearcat with cylinders without firingpin slots. I recently purchased one that doesn't appear to have any. Does anyone have a picture of a cylinder showing these slots so I can have something to compare against?

Is there something in the blue book about a serial number range or old model or new model?

The only thing that comes to mind about firing pin slots is posibly the safety notches cut into the cylinder between the chambers for the firing pin to rest in. This for guns with the firing pin built on the hammer.

They refer to the "early" model of the stainless model ( maybe even a few of the blued ones??) that have the "groove" around the rear portion,flat of the chamber area, just like the "old model" 22 Single Six, so as to "clear" any firing pin 'hang up' or indents from dry firing and the cylinder is "off center" ( not indexed)
