I have a Colt Cobra, but has anyone ever had any luck with a good in-pocket holster for their detective special type revolver?

I successfully carried a similar revolver in an early Mika Pocket Holster. It's more than twenty years old and I still use it. A simple but effective pocket holster, in my experience.

Ive tried the square type pocket holsters from Uncle Mikes and Blackhawk and never was very happy with them. They expose the trigger too much, and the gun never seems deep enough to satisfy me. I found Blackhawk and Uncle Mikes make an IWB holster for the small revolvers. I cut off the pants clip and use the holster as a pocket holster. The gun goes deeper, the trigger is covered, and there is material that covers the hammer spur if you carry a snubby with an exposed hammer. The holster works well with my Ruger LCR, SP101 and my Taurus 905.

Take a look at Remora holsters. remoraholsters.com. I have one for my Airweight J-frame and for my PPK. Works as Pocket or IWB, inexpensive.
Not sure how it compares to your Cobra but I carry my LCR in an Uncle Mike's #4. The trigger is NOT exposed.
Definetely check out Remora. Their Customer Service has really surprised me recently. Call them and see what they recommend for your gun. Their satisfaction guarantee allows you to send the holster back.
I've been very happy with the DeSantis Nemesis for my LCR-357 and 22. DeSantis makes several pocket styles for Colt snubbies:

I have used Ted Blocker pocket holsters for years with S&W J-Frames and now my Sig P238 HDWs.

I also recommend the Remora. I have a Remora 4ART that I use for a sub-compact pistol. I like its versatility and like i can use it as a pocket holster, or an IWB holster. Search Remora on YouTube and you'll find several video reviews of them.
Remora, great in pocket, great in the waste.
I have a few of these and I really like them.

And if you're not happy call them. They'll go above and beyond!
I've been very pleased with my Mika pocket holster.
I have had great luck with a number four Mikes or Blackhawk pocket holster, they both look identical. They are square cut and don't shift in your pocket like some of the tapered pocket holsters do. Also they are inexpensive and can be found just about everywhere.

I've got the Blackhawk #4 that I used to carry my LCR. Great durable little holster.

Bought a DeSantis Superfly for my Sig 290 and it didn't fit all that well, so I tried it in the Blackhawk. It's in my pocket now! :D
Simply Rugged Pocket Protector. Simple, inexpensive and made from leather. I have two and they work well for me.
