I notice that there is a difference of opinion as how to mount bipods as to legs folded to rear of rifle or the front. As far as I can tell it seems to be pretty evenly divided.

What are different users experiences, your choice and the advantages of each way?

All input is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

I usually have them fold forward just so they don't get in the way of the foregrip.

Forward is the conventional method; keeps them clear of the fore stock and when you go to lay down you're usually in forward motion. So rather than pushing the gun away from you and pulling back you stake them in ground just before you completely stop laying down.
