Not a Ruger, but my amazing wife has done it again. She seems to really pay attention to the things I mention, even in passing. She knew I've been looking for a new snub nose to go along with my GP100. She found a used one locally and for a great price. My birthday is a week before Christmas but she said she couldn't wait and gave it to me last night. Now I just need to find a comfortable IWB holster.

My new to me S&W 686 Plus.

You are a lucky man! Nice 686, and a wife who understand your firearms hobby.
And fortunately your state must allow a wife to buy a firearm for her husband.

It is impossible to surprise a spouse with a gun gift in California with all the paperwork, background checks, and waiting period.

Congrats on your new toy....and on obviously making a fine decision on whom you married!
Thank you sir. After 11 years, I am thankful everyday for having such a wonderful wife and mother to our children, and I NEVER take it for granted.
