I have a question I going to buy a new Blackhawk .45 Colt 5/8" barrel in Stainless Steel. And a friend at work said the Blackhawks have aluminum frames, but the Super Blackhawks have an all steel frame. Is this true i'm going to the Super in .44mag.just to get the steel frame.
Thanks

If I recall correctly, it is just the grip frames that are aluminum. The main frame is steel.

Stainless steel guns are all steel. The blued guns have an aluminum grip frame and ejector rod houshing (ERH). Exceptions are the supers and brass framed guns. The cylinders and cylinder frames are all steel.
