I explained the problem to Tammy, a helpful CSR, and also mentioned that I was a moderator on RugerForum.Net where RugerGuy, Rman, Whitedog and Sheepdog spend most of their time... Well!!! Talk about royal treatment! They repaired the barrel and the front sight pronto, test fired it and sent it back Overnight... Thanks guys!
