I have a very nice 10-22 sporter that shoots pretty well. Will gluing the barrel into the receiver with Loctite do anything towards improving the accuracy? Has anyone tried it, and what were your results?

I think it would make a sticky mess. Loctite needs pressure to work, like between a nut and bolt.

Green loctite for cylindrical items, takes a lot of heat to remove it though. We used it at a paper mill installing pump packing sleeves on shafts, never had one come loose. Usually had to grind or air arc to get them off when rebuilding .With the 10/22 barrel wedge I don't think you could improve it unless you go to an aftermarket barrel. I used it once on a old Winchester model 1897 with a loose barrel 15+ years ago and is has never come loose. Easier than rethreading the barrel.
