Well bowhunting season is upon us here in Montana, as it will start on Sept 1 this year. I will be hunting for Black Bear, Deer and Elk in my local area.

Any other bowhunters out there?

My equipment will be:

Bow: Matthews Black Max2 at 70 lb draw wt, which shoots arrows at 330 fps.

Arrows: Carbon Express Terminator 4560 measured at 28 3/8ths length.

Broadheads: G5 Striker 100 gr 3 blade (replacable blades)

Meathod of hunt: Spot and Stalk

Well I hunt whitetails here in Connecticut and our bowhunting season starts at the same time. I shoot the same CE Terminators 4560's cut at 31 with Muzzy 100gr MX4's out of a Martin Black Panther at 74lbs. The bow is a little long in the tooth but I am comfortable with it. I really don't care for the early season as it is just too dang hot, to much cover and the bugs are ridiculous.
