Not sure what you are asking, but anything you shoot the revolver should work in a .357 rifle. Some rifles might have issues with the shorter .38 cartridge, but most will work. I have a 77/357, Henry Big Boy and HR single shot and they all function fine.

i have a 357 vaquero. is there a common rifle cartridge for a 38 spec. or a 357 mag.
If I understand your question: No, there are no cartridges that are in fact the same but have two different names; one for handgun and one for rifle.

There are a few cartridges with different names (9mm Kurz, 380 Auto, etc) but there has never been a round with a handgun specific name and a second name for long gun use.

If you are a reloader, you can load the 357 or .44 differently for one gun vs. the other because of the barrel length.
