SS .357 Ruger SP101, in 2" barrel. I am having difficulties finding a good comfortable CCW holster. Seems all the inside the pants holsters jam the revolver in my back when I drive creating a very uncomfortable situation. I pretty much started leaving the revolver at home, and just leave a cheap Star .380 in the glove compartment.

Medium frame revolvers like the SP101 are much smaller than medium frame Ruger KP9x series, I can't image trying to stick one of these behind my back. The fanny pack is a good idea, but they don't look very masculine.

If I was to carry a compact auto, I might go with the Springfield XD .45 http://www.springfield-armory.com/prod-xdpstl-service.shtml

Lately it's been M65 3" and 649 2"---either or both in IWB on my belly under a long t-shirt or polo----hot down here-also carried my P97s that way-comfy-quick-easy to control-no printing---Don Hume 721 is my favorite fitted holster-also use leather or nylon soft clip-on IWB-usually move the clip up to hang lower. Seldom use a coat but strong side on side not behind hip when I do-buy my coats loose and long...that way is comfy and accessible seated even though lefty...even driving...2 speed strips on belt-two in pocket-one HKS speedloader in pocket...if you need it you need it well-fed.

Hey Keith Glaco makes a holster for ya. I carried mind in one for a long time. Here's the number Galco# SCT118 Scout clip inside the waist band. I had a Laser on mind to boot. Easy on and off. You will not even know it's there after a few mintues. Good luck.

My most common off duty carry is a Glock 19 in either a belly band or a Galco Summer Comfort. I sometimes carry one of my S&W K frame revolvers, my KP95DC in a Blade-Tech UCH, and I've been working up an old single stack S&W 4013.

My S&W 642 sees a lot of carry as well as a deep cover revolver.

Small of back 5" SA1911a1, or also have a shoulder holster I carry a PPK in. The PPK is small, fits well in the holster, and when wearing a tux, you can't help but feel a little like James Bond.

Right now for Summer mode I carry a Springfield XD40SC in a Kramer - IWB#3 Holster from the 2:30-3 O'Clock position. When the clothes get a little thicker, in Winter mode, I carry my Beretta 92FS INOX in a Kramer - Thomas Perfectionist Holster in the same positions. For my build and type clothes I wear, it has never yet been a proplem carrying.

I like the XD45s, but never tried to see if I could get one to blend.
What do you mean by blend? Or are you talking about your other collection of firearms would not accept another Springfield to add to the collection.

If a pistol has too much plastic on it, my other pistols heckle it. Crying makes rust. [:p]

I'd think that the XD would be a bigger pain in the back than the SP101.

I always have my Kel-Tec P3AT in my front pocket in a DeSantis Nemisis holster. It just sort of disappears in there. When I feel the need and clothing allows I'll carry my new P97DC which as of 3 days ago relieved my P345 of that duty. I really like my new P97, wish I had bought one a long time ago!

Is that P3AT a 9? Don't know where you live but in Texas we dress cotton cool a lot and the P97DAO and P97D have travelled IWB crossdraw behind my belt buckle for 5 years-comfy and I'm real active all day-I think you'll find the P97 as easy to carry as the P95-though a bit bigger. .45 is my favorite-P90D will be my next!

The P3AT is a .380 and it's a really tiny BUG and with dress slacks and dress shirt it just disappears. I find the P97 easier to carry than the P95 because the frame is slightly thinner even though it is a bit longer. It was with me all day yesterday because I was dressed casual.
