And Guys,,,, if you make a list for an uninformed family member to use, use common sense. It feels good to hand them a list with huge numbers on it, but you are doing them a disservice
When you evaluate the stuff force yourself to think you would pay to buy it not what you have seen on gunbroker or some such best-case scenario. Look at it honestly, warts and all
Whoever is dealing with it will not have time for stretching it out to nickel and dime for pie in the sky prices.
Make sure they are aware that if the liquidate at the LGS the values will be 25 to 50 percent lower than the numbers you have listed. It is how things work and they should not feel guilty about it.
Too often survivors are left with a sense of guilt or failure if they cannot materialize the inflationary prices we tend to place on our pride and joy.
In a nutshell, if you want it sold for top dollar that takes time and negotiating skills. So do it yourself.
