South We Ride Again...same story a week later and just a little lighter of $$, but happy I am..pic is as bought.

They will get some cleaning and love, the .41 appears to be unfired, however has some bruising from the "Aunt who collected the estate of the departed".
She didn't care much for her brothers "gun collection"..seems she just tossed them in boxes and stored them until the decision was made who would end up with them"...Sad how some folks treat what is treasured by others, after they are gone.

The grips on both guns can be restored to like new condition with Old English scratch remover for light woods. With a little elbow grease the grips will clean up and shine. I forgot I had left my Mossberg 500 on the tailgate. I got a call and took off to see my gun doing cartwheels down the road. I did some light sanding and gave the stock a couple coats of Old English. Right now you cannot see any of the damage. In fact, there are very few beech 500 stocks that look as nice as my stock.
