Nice! Makes me want to buy a kit myself for a fall/winter project.
Dr. Dabbs the author of the article in DIY uses a Dremel tool a sanding drum and a wire wheel to cut hours off the project. As he put it "it is a great way to kill a lazy afternoon". I can see how with using those tools it can be done in a "lazy afternoon" but it's a kit and what fun would that be!

Finally finished it took a lot of sanding and polishing not to mention 10 coats of Tru Oil on the grips. Going to the range soon one of my friends who shoot black powder may be interested in buying it. Here are some photos of the finished gun and my reloading bench. Hope it pass inspection. It was a fun kit to build highly recommend it.

Very nice, you should feel proud of the good "old school" way you did it.
