I have been field testing, actually torture testing Dominic's Ruger 22/45 magazine base pads for for over a year and they always seemed to come up short, as the plastic didn't seem to be cured properly and would easily break. He has sent me several batches and and I alway failed my tesing. I can finally say he has hit on the right formula. They seem to be every bit as durable as the factory base pads and do not break when I put a screwdriver in between the magazine and base pad and LIGHTLY twist. Of course, anyone can break them if you twist hard enough, but these seem to be about the same strength as the factory base pads.
I'm running a set on my 22/45 that I use for steel plate shoots and if I didn't have 100% faith in them, I wouldn't use them. They make it much easier to pull the magazine out. Even with the magazine safety removed, you'll have one once in a while that doesn't fall free if you have any ammo left in it and the top round moves slightly forward.
I highly recommend them.

I have bought from him in the past and everything he sent me was rubbish.
But..... maybe he's picked up his game.....
