What we are witnessing here is the very early stages of cyberization in humans. A completely paralyzed man walks thanks to the research being conducted at UCLA. These robotic exoskeletons are basically the Stanly Steamer of cyberization. One can only imagine how this technology will develop in another 20 years time.

Does anyone remember the 80's flick Firefox with Clint Eastwood. Basically he stole a Russian Jet that was controlled by thought. Back then it was mostly science fiction but today mind control (aka neuromodulation) is science fact. I have seen people control computers with just their thoughts. It's still just simple manipulation but the immature technology does exist. Nobody will be stealing imaginary Russian jets any time soon, but who knows what's over the horizon.

Here's the full story.

That is terrific news.
We have to applaud American ingenuity -- especially when it comes from Los Angeles, California.
