I recently bought an EC9s with the idea of carrying it "every day." At the range for testing ammo I found it will not run Underwood +p 147 grain hard cast ( broke the guide rod). Anybody had issues running hot and heavy ammo? I will be sticking with standard pressure from here on out.

I was looking for something concealable that could pass for a woods gun so I wouldn't have to carry my GP100. Obviously the EC9s is not it. Anybody have any ideas in the $3-$400 range?

I think you are expecting too much from a small polymer framed pistol. You should not have even tried those Underwood loads in a gun like that. A 9mm isn't a magnum. If you want to shoot those heavy +P loads I'd recommend finding a P89. Those all steel Ruger 9mm pistols can take a pounding. Of course if you are going to carry a steel 9mm, you might as well go with a GP and have a real woods gun.
