Dryer sheets never did anything for me. I do use Nu-Finish car polish to get very shiny brass. One reason I tried it was because my tumbler media was getting old enough to consider throwing it out. Adding the car polish periodically just rejuvenates the media. This is purely a cosmetic thing and what you're doing is just fine unless you want your multi-fired cases to look like new ones. BTW, I use corn cob media and have some new standing by.
