Federal has a $2 rebate on their Tru-Bal shotgun slugs. It applies to their 12 and 20 gauge. I was able to pick up 5 boxes of them for $3.99 each and they have 5 to the box. The rebate form can be downloaded online and printed. There is a maximum of 5 boxes per household and the offer is good until December 31, 2015. It is a great deal to get decent reduced recoil shotgun slugs for only 40 cents each.

Federal also makes a full power 1,600 fps version of the Tru Ball slug the part number is PB127RS. I also found Tru Ball Deep Penetrator slugs. The Deep Penetrator is a reduced recoil copper coated slug with a plastic ball inside the slug to help support the hollow slug Part number PB127 DPRS. Federal claims the Deep Penetrator is a high antimony slug. Your common slug is around 3% antimony and they usually break. Antimony makes lead more brittle so YMMV.
