Hey,
This was giving me fits for weeks.
My 3-9x32 Bug Buster scope is a mere 8.1" long and mounted as far back as it would go on my Takedown. The eyepiece was still too far from my eye to use the scope effectively.
And I just refuse to put a cheek pad on the rifle. Kinda ruins the lines of the rifle for me.
I knew there had to be a way. And there is.
I found this scope mount on Amazon. Burris makes a similar one for around $80. No thanks.
This one was $11.95 SHIPPED. I ordered it Sunday night and got it today. Pretty good.
It's on there tight. I haven't used it yet but I don't see it moving at all. It even has a set screw that runs through it to tighten the mount to the base once you have it where you want it.
It brings the scope back to my eye about an extra 1.5" which is just about perfect!
AND I can now use the velcro flap to hold everything in the case. Before, the case would zip closed but I had to fold up the velcro flap and let the stock stick out the end of the pocket.
YIP effen EEE!
Happy Thanksgiving.
