Within the last several month I discovered or rediscovered my MKII.
My old eyes told me an amenity of some sort was in order, that is if I wanted to see my intended target.
I equipped the gun with a Weigand "no tap" Base and a Millet Red Dot.
It soon became obvious that my Uncle Mike's Sidekick wasn't going to accommodate the new configuration.
With some help from the "all knowing":) Bullseye and friends and some internal domestic talent the "Sidekick Holster" was transformed.
I had posted this on one or more forums but hadn't done so here.

that will work.
T/c custom house Foxridge Outfitters use to market a high dollar leather shoulder rig for the contender that basically was the same thing---a relief cut-out for a monted optic.

Looks good and a better job than what i would have done!

as long as it works and you like it is what counts. Nice set up.

Nothing like good ole American ingenuity.

Was going to say Yankee ingenuity, but I didn't want to offend anyone.

Song Dawg: Is it secure in the holster? I'm thinking about doing exactly the same thing only my MKIII512 will be wearing the ATN Ultrasight. After I mount the sight I'll take the measurements to modify the Sidekick holster so there is sufficient clearance for the optics without undue and excess cutout. How difficult was sewing the ballistic nylon with the fabric tape covering the cut?[8)]
