I got a Mini14 a little while ago. One day I stripped it down and cleaned it from top to bottom. Got every thing back together and I noticed that the block isnt flush and straight with the stock. I took it off and tried putting it back on and with out the bolts it just sits a little off the stock. there is more stock on one side then there is on the other when you look at it straight on...Any ideas guys?

Thanks

Is it the stock or is it the gas block thats at issue?

I've see some of the older minis that had a bit of offset between the upper an lower halves of the gas block, and a bit of gap between the end of the stock and gasblock... and they worked fine...just the way they went together.

Is the forend stock a bit thicker on one side than the other? and if so, is that the side that shows more wood? pictures would really help!
