I run factory barrels on 3 of mine, and a steady diet of reloads, some have never seen factory ammo. Never any problems.
I think the comment about reloads in Glock barrels has more to do with the use of lead bullets than just reloads in general. The polygonal rifling of the Glock barrels is apparently not the best with pure lead projectiles, probably because the lead is likelier to leave bad streaks on the flats of the polygonal rifling.

If I Were Given a Glock, I'd sell it. Just My Humble Opinionn as a Combat Infantryman, Hunter, Reloader, and Collector of 50yrs.
To each His own. Enjoy
Funny enough, I used my G21 to get in a record qualification because the training unit to which I was assigned didn't have ammo to support a qualification that was supposed to happen. Because my follow-on assignment was to an active combat theater, I had to have a current qualification on record, even though it was in a country outside a location where actual combat was occurring.

I just grabbed up the PSG for the careerist platoon, and he was nice enough to come record my performance on the standard Qual tables with a standard Qual target at the local range on a Saturday. Common-sense senior NCOs are some of our military's best assets.

Hmm, well their goes your christmas gift next year... 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
I'm going to laugh when TEOTWAWKI circumstances leave @rmichael63 with only a Glock at some point, and then he ends up regretting never having been able to enjoy the fine piece of engineering when using it was only for training and leisure... :p
