I just started to CCW my Alaskan and the rubber Hogues grip my shirts too much. I was looking at replacing them with wood Hogues but wanted to know what other options are available. Does Ahrand make grips for Rugers?

Anyone know of any other grip options?

The 3" GP100s use to come with a Lett style grip that was a "compact". It looked like the full size, old style, factory grip, but uses the SP101 panels. Kinda hard to come by... but they show up on Ebay from time to time. It will fit the Alaskan.

Here is a picture of my Alaskan with the compact grips. I don't know how much better they would be over the original. They are smaller but still a lot of rubber to hang up.

I think that Hogue offers a "Nylon" grip that is the same dementions as the grip that came with the gun, although listed as GP100 grips (same difference). That way you'd have the same grip but with a material that's not sticky. Smithy.
