Thanks I'm looking for all the synthetic stock manufactors I can find for a possible project of mine
I currently have a rifle with Wayne for a rebarrel, no stock as it has a composite now. It's not a No. 1.

However I am planning to send a No. 1 to him for both barrel work (rechamber to AI if it shoots or rebarrel if not) and one of his stocks in classic because I'm a lefty but want anyone to be able to shoot it.

You can either ask me later this year how I like it or punt. I want one that POI doesn't move due to weather conditions, thus the stock. I'll also get one of his pic rails, a trigger job, and the barrel threaded so I can put a can on it if I want.

That's about what I want to do . I have a CZ527 I had rebarreled in 6ARC by Pac Nor so I plan on having them put a barrel on and cerakote action and barrel then go with a composite stock .
I am a hunter, that's why I bought it not concerned with value but with a good all weather rifle. My grandson and the great grandkids can worry about value after I'm gone.

With that said I would like to hear back when you have yours done

Thanks for replying
FYI -- I sent my 1-V 6mm Rem off to Wayne to have it rebarrel to 6 GT and 26", a composite stock, pic rail, trigger work and other stuff. I think he said 12-16 weeks, so July or later. The barrel I needed was available and so was a reamer, so it's just waiting for my name to come up in his work queue. The contour will be similar but not necessarily the same since it's getting the composite stock. The main limiting factor is clearing the spring hanger, other than that you can get whatever size you wish since the stock will be made to fit.

Anyhow, if you decide to wait I'll have pics and initial results after I get it back this summer.

Well it has been said that the Mona Lisa was based by Leonardo da Vinci on his own likeness. So might as well add a mustache.

As for the stock, whatever... I have five other No. 1's with beautiful wood stocks. One for all weather will be fine.

It's all good, unlike so many others I have a sense of humor. Nice laminate, I have a K1-V-BBZ in .204 Ruger.

you are probably right but I will keep the old stock and can always go back. But for me hunting and spending time in the weather I kind of like the ideal of doing all I can to have an accurate rifle that can handle anything I screw up and get us into

Thanks for all the advice and posts:D

I get the weather-proof desire. My 77 is stainless and plastic, so is my Red Label. I can end a drought and cause heavy rain for days by taking one of my pretty wood and blued steel guns hunting.

Thx for the compliment.

Corndog, I have to agree, about the "Blasphemy" ! My #1-B, in .338 Win Mag is getting a walnut-maple laminate stock that i got from Fagen just before they closed. I hope to have it finished in another month {with my schedule}. At my age I don't know if I'll keep it for some [undeserving] relative, or sell it to get a couple of 1911s.
