Hi everyone,
I'm a longtime Ruger fan who started out on a Ruger Single-Six and progressed to Blackhawks and Redhawks. I've always thought Rugers were built to last and offered a great bang for the buck. That's why I just picked up a Ruger SP101 in .22lr to teach my wife and little girl (6 yrs old) how to shoot.
As you can see in my topic line, I'm currently stuck in California. Had lots of fun finding a gun that is on the California "approved" list. Couple of other guns I want that aren't on the list, but that's okay. I plan to move back to Texas in a year or two.
Anyone have customization tips for the SP101? I've ordered a set of Hogue wood grips for it and I'm planning on installing one of the gold bead front sights from Gemini Customs. Any other tips? I'm still waiting for mine to arrive because I had to order it from out of state. How does the trigger feel on these out of the box?
