I just purchased a Ruger Vaquero Bisley .357, in stainless and ivory. Haven’t got to shoot it yet, hopefully this week I will. Does anyone have any suggestions for ccw for it? I do have a permit, and I know it is a little on the large size but one cannot beat a .357. I would prefer an in pants holster if there is such a thing or I might have to look to add another weapon to the collection, would prefer to stay in one caliber however so .357

Welcome aboard.

Since you're in Illinois, open carry is not an option. Honestly, I can't see concealed carry on a revolver with a barrel longer than 3 inches. Yes, .357 magnum is a wonderful round (probably my favorite to shoot), but unless you're VERY practiced with the rapid deployment and use of a SA revolver, I would suggest you reconsider it for concealed carry.

But ....to each his own.

BTW, check out this kinda similar thread here: https://rugerforum.net/ccw/384545-vaquerro-45-colt-ccw.html
