hello, i recently purhcased my first ruger 2 weeks ago. a gp100 4" blue, w/ adjustable sights. i also have 3 s & w revolvers. i have always heard talk about how well built rugers were, but never tried one until about 3 weeks ago when a friend at the range let me try his gp100. i was totally impressed with its appearance, handling, ability to shoot, and low recoil, even very reasonable recoil with .357s. i like my smiths, but i plan on selling or trading them in for more rugers in the future, especially a security six. this is next on my list. all my guns are blue, i just happen to have a thing for blue revolvers. also, i basically target shoot, so they never go in a holster. anyways, ive been reading your forum the past few days and have really learned alot. you guys are very knowledgeabel and seem like a nice bunch of guys.
have a great day ! tim

Welcome from South Dakota tcinpa07. GPs are great revolvers as are S&Ws. This is a great forum. I am a newbie too. I had never "forumed" before. I like the members, their input and especially all the knowledge that they have. Pick their brains; you will learn a lot. I have.

Just got a new laptop today and I already hate it. Vista thing in it. I want Windows XP. I can work it; not Vista.

RNettles...do you see why SP101s are my favorite little revolver. Little recoil, BIG .357, built like a tank. I love them. I put two Crimson Trace SPs on back order this week. Hope they come before Christmas or the end of the world!
