Hi Everyone,

Hi from New Zealand.

I have just purchased my first Ruger. Never thought I would own one due to the copious amounts a negativity on accuracy, but I just couldn't help myself in the end.

The wee beauty I've purchased is a tang safety 7x57. I believe it was made in 1973/4 due to it's serial number - 71-07xxx. It's in fantastic condition and the trigger was surprisingly good, and so is the barrel. I've yet to put a round through her yet but hopefully soon.

From all the research I did before buying it, it seems the 7x57 of that era are very hit and miss, but I'm feeling confident that this is going to be a hit!!.

Anyhow, look forward to being part of the forum :)

Grant
