Just picked up my first Ruger (a Mark IV Tactical 22/45), and joined the forum. Looks like a lot of good info and great people here.

Before firing the first round, I've installed the full Volquartsen accurizing kit, removed the rear sight, reversed the top tail, and mounted a Vortex Razor. Heck, overkill but I slipped on a Tandemkross compensator too. A lower TK optic mount is on the way. Looking forward to taking it to the range next week!

Thanks in advance for sharing the site knowledge!

Welcome from the Texas Panhandle.

I recon you'll never know if that accurizing kit helped.

Thanks all!

and gunjunkie, I'll know from day 1 that the Volquartsen kit did its stuff. From dry firing the pistol, the OEM trigger is a heavy, rough creeping feel with a bit of travel. The Volquartsen is a light crisp short travel fast reset trigger that breaks cleanly and smoothly. Shot placement with the Volquartsen will be easy. The OEM would have worked for a slower plinking gun, but would not have supported the accuracy I want. Best,
